Hi, I’m Dr. PJ.

I’m a board certified obstetric anesthesiologist and practiced mostly in the Northeast. I’m originally from San Francisco, CA but currently live in San Diego.

I love working with women. Before becoming a doctor, I was a medical assistant at a gynecology clinic and always knew I wanted my career to focus on women. So obstetric anesthesia came very naturally to me and I’m happy to come to work every day.

And yes, I’ve had an epidural!

What’s an obstetric anesthesiologist?

An obstetric anesthesiologist is a physician who specializes in pain relief during labor and delivery. They work closely with your obstetrician, midwife, and/or doula to take care of you and your baby during and immediately after your delivery.
